Privacy Policy
Effective July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Birdseed Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit innominemortis.com and our other web properties (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you subscribe to our newsletter (“the Dispatch”), we collect your email address. If you email us, we receive your message and contact details.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited, for security and to understand aggregate traffic. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics.
- Local preferences. We store your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not personal information we collect.
2. How we use information
- To send you the Dispatch and the content you requested.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- To respond to your inquiries.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Site, and they process data under their own privacy policies:
- Email: our newsletter is delivered through beehiiv, which stores and processes your subscription data.
- Hosting & delivery: the Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical/log data to serve and protect the Site.
4. Cookies & tracking
Our own pages use minimal cookies. Embedded elements (such as the newsletter sign-up form) and third-party sites you click through to may set their own cookies under their policies. Outbound affiliate links may set a cookie on the destination site to attribute a referral; see our Terms of Service for our affiliate disclosure. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe from the Dispatch at any time using the link in any email.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights over your data. We honor valid requests as required by applicable law.
6. Data retention
We keep your subscription information for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to delete it. Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted to this page with a revised effective date.
